| Date: 2005-03-28 2:33 p.m. Today, my Philosophy of Religion professor was talking about the problem of evil. He was explaining the contrast theodicy, which says that if we didn't have evil in the world, we would not be able to appreciate the good in the world. Some guy said that he thinks it would be really boring, and that "it would suck" if there were no evil in the world, that, in that sense, evil is a good thing. My professor responded, "Remind me to punch you in the face later on to make you appreciate the world more". I'm really starting to like this professor. |
