| Date: 2005-10-01 12:35 a.m. Well, I survived hurricane Rita. I'll tell you what, that slight increase in wind of about 5 miles an hour was so tough to deal with. Mentally and physically. I'd go outside to take out the trash, and I'd be like "OHHHH MYYYY GODDD! SOME OF MY HAIR IS ACTUALLY MOVING FRACTIONS OF A MILLIMETER! WHY GOD? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY???" *falls on knees and starts balling* Many of us in College Station were disappointed that hurricane Rita didn't show up here. It seems like we all wanted something new to experience. Not like a hurricane Katrina experience, just something that would at least knock over a sign.In other news, a few days ago in Art History class, my professor was going through slides (that's all the lectures are). He came to a slide with the famous pyramids in Egypt and said something like "You all know what this is. What is it?" I raised my hand eagerly, "Oh Oh Oh". When he said go ahead, I was like "Those are the famous SPHERES. Yeah, the spheres of Iran. DUHHHH" He looked at me and was like "Ok. You're going to fail." The class laughed at his comment more than my joke. I was hurt. Later on in my Technical Writing class, my professor had the Extreme Makover website up on the projector because he was trying to make some weird, obscure point that I obviously missed. He was clicking on some of the pictures of people showing how ugly they were. He came to a particularly ugly one (the one on the top left) and I said out loud "Oh, I'd definitely hit it." It was such perfect timing, it even made my professor laugh. |
